COURSE DESCRIPTION
This four day basic course is an intensive training program designed to develop individual and team tactics, techniques and procedures as related to high risk warrant service, hostage rescue immediate action, barricaded subject and active gunman. The student will learn and apply the principles and fundamentals of individual/team tactics, movement technique, entry techniques, diversions/distractions, room clearing, achieving situation control, security, communications, and Close Quarter Battle firearms skills. The force continuum and acceptable use of force responses are integrated into all tactics and techniques. This course goes beyond providing an understanding of technique; it provides the exercises and practice needed to develop skills that can be applied immediately upon completion of the course.
This course restricted to sworn law enforcement and military personnel only.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS
· Eye and Ear Protection
· Duty leather with weapon
*Handgun - 100 rounds
*Shoulder-fired entry weapon (if available) - 50 rounds
Individual issue tactical equipment. As a minimum:
*Body Armor (helmet recommended)
*Light source
*Elbow/knee pads
*Gloves
*Camel Back or other water source
*Clothing suitable for outdoor tactical training
